With this amount, you indeed donate more than the bench itself. The bench costs about € 1,200. The rest of your donation will go to the Fonds Vrienden Botanische Tuinen. This fund enables projects in the Gardens on nature education, biodiversity, science education and culture.

No, we place the same benches (and picnic sets, loungers) made of durable and weather- and wind-resistant iron material throughout the Gardens. This is how we create peace in how the Gardens look.

Yes indeed, as a thank you for your donation confirm a sign on 'your' bench. You may choose the short text, for example a name, with a maximum number of characters.

We decide the location of the bench. However, we have identified some spots in the Gardens where new benches are wanted in the coming period. If there are several options at the time of your donation, you may indicate a preference.

Donated benches will remain in place for at least five years. We take care of placement and maintenance. After five years, the bench may remain in place for a few more years. But we may also move or remove the bench.
